A thief in Wriem, an ex-guild member with some connection to the Prophecy of the Snake, who stole a couple of relics from a rich Beaumondian (e05 00:41, e05 00:41). The party beat him unconscious without killing him, and paid his bandits to get him out of town alive (e05 01:53, e05 01:53).
Details
He looks well-to-do and out of place in the South District, and fights in a trained form (e05 01:30, e05 01:35). Vargus reads him as deeply traumatized: a thousand-yard stare, jumping and reaching for his sword when a door shuts in the distance (e05 01:30, e05 01:30, e05 01:31). He tried to sell the relics to Anise, who found them too hot (e05 01:13, e05 01:13). He says they’re worth a lot more than a thousand gold, and that he can’t afford to hire good help right now (e05 01:32, e05 01:33). “Fuck Beau Monde,” he says (e05 01:33).
Story so far
The Road to Holst (e05–)
e05. Hiding by the canal, he refused Vargus’s offer of a way out and asked for a fair fight (e05 01:34, e05 01:34). He waved off his own bandits, nodded respect to Vargus, and kept fighting while badly hurt — “should have been this way anyways” — until Wisp knocked him out with the flat of his sword (e05 01:35, e05 01:46, e05 01:51, e05 01:53). Vargus paid his four bandits five gold each to get him out of town alive by the end of the night (e05 01:53). See e05 – The Mask of Humanity Falls From Capital.
