The Hollow King exists because of a latent psionic connection shared by everyone on Ereboros: when enough people believe something, it tends to become true — the GM compared this to Warhammer’s orks or Santa Claus in holiday films (e00 00:26:18). The Hollow King rose specifically from mass fear of the Hollowing Plague (e00 00:26:18). He is mentioned once, as an origin story; he has not otherwise appeared.
