Landaluce rules Wriem and all of Edyrea from her seat in the capital (e00 02:07:12). She has nine children, each of whom governs one of Edyrea’s nine realms and answers only to her (e00 02:11:25).
She is widely beloved, sung about, and taught about in schools — but rules with, in the GM’s words, “an iron fucking fist.” Only a small council of extremely powerful people can speak with her directly (e00 02:11:25). It is illegal to remember, write about, or record a time before she was queen; viewing historical records requires a special license from the Magisterium, and even then such records must be discussed only in theoretical terms (e00 02:11:25).
The Queen’s Guard carries out its own law and answers only to her, largely disregarding Vormonde‘s justice system (e00 02:12:26).
Since the Hollowing Plague broke out, Landaluce has gone silent; the reason isn’t stated (e00 00:25:12).
