The Queen’s Guard operates above the ordinary law of Edyrea and mostly disregards Vormonde, the god of law, creating political tension between the two (e00 02:12:26). Where Vormonde’s Arbiters have to weigh and argue a case, the Queen’s Guard can act on their own judgment regardless of who’s actually in the right (e00 02:17:37).
